The Best Ways to Stream to your TV!

With the amount of great movies and excellent tv shows being produced each year, we are watching more TV than ever before. And, of course, you can watch on your phone or tablet device, but sometimes you just want to sit back on the couch and watch on the big screen. Today we're going to tell you five ways that you can watch your favourite streaming platform in your living room on your TV.

1. Smart TV

The best part about owning a Smart TV is that you probably won't have to purchase any additional devices in order to stream the latest content on your TV. Simply connect your TV to the internet via Wi-Fi and find your TV's app store where you'll be able to download your favourite streaming app directly to your TV. And the best part is, you only need one remote to control everything on your TV.

2. Apple TV

Owning an Apple TV gives you complete access to the iTunes store, allowing you to purchase and rent the latest movies and TV shows as they become available and watch them directly on your TV. An Apple TV also gives you access to the App Store in which you'll find streaming giants like Netflix and Disney+, but also hundreds of games that you can play on your TV.

3. Google Chromecast

A Google Chromecast is a little dongle that you plug into your TV and control from your connected phone or laptop. Whilst it is not a fully functional stand-alone device like some of the others on this list, if you're happy to use your phone as a remote, you'll find it easy and intuitive to control. It is also one of the cheapest ways to stream content to your TV.

4. Amazon Fire TV Stick

An Amazon Fire TV Stick, much like the other devices on this list, just works straight out of the box. You can use Alexa voice remote to easily find, launch and control over 200,000+ movies and TV shows from Netflix, Paramount+, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, 7plus, SBS On Demand and more. Plus, play millions of songs through service like Amazon Music and Spotify.

5. Airplay

Of course, you don't need to have any of the above devices if you have a smart TV that is capable of connecting to Wi-Fi. Whether you have a Android or an iPhone, you can usually connect your phone to your TV and mirror your device's screen on your TV. This allows you to beam apps like Netflix to your TV from your phone, as well as allowing you to view your photos and home movies on the big screen. And the best part is, it won't cost you anything.

Also, don't forget that you can stream for free by downloading any or all of the channel 7, 9, 10, ABC or SBS apps on your phone, tablet or TV.
