Do you take a lot of pictures on your phone, but they don't come out looking the way you want them too? Well, we have some suggestions to help you make the most out of the camera on your phone.
1. Get a grid!
On your iPhone, if you access the settings app and navigate to the camera section, you can turn on a grid for your photos. This allows you to take advantage of the rule of thirds mentality when it comes to taking pictures.
2. Live mode
When you open your iPhone's camera, there is a button option in the top right corner that allows you to turn on/off Live mode. Live mode is great because it allows you to take a burst of photos instead of just a single frame. What's even more exciting, is that once you have your live photo, you can choose which frame of the photo you'd like to be your final picture.
3. Flash photography
Again, whilst you're in photo mode, there is a button in the top left corner that resembles a lightning bolt which allows you to turn the flash on and off. Turning the flash on when taking a photo is especially useful at night or in low-light settings.
4. Zoom to enlarge
When you're trying to take a photo of something that might be slightly further away, don't forget that you can zoom to enlarge. It's easy. Much like at other times when you're trying to zoom in on your phone, simply pinch the screen, and you can zoom in or zoom out, enlarging the size of the subject of your photo.
5. Other photo modes
Swipe left or right on the camera screen to choose one of the following camera modes:
Video: Record a video.
Time-lapse: Create a time‑lapse video of motion over a period of time.
Slo-mo: Record a video with a slow-motion effect.
Pano: Capture a panoramic landscape or other scene.
Portrait: Apply a depth-of-field effect to your photos
Cinematic: Apply a depth-of-field effect to your videos
