Apps To Keep You Organised

Let's face it, we could all benefit from being a little bit more organised and on top of things. Otherwise, things we want to do can easily be forgotten and overlooked. Thankfully, our phones, tablets and computers have a variety of ways to keep us reminded and informed. These methods are also pretty simple and can be utilised by almost anyone.

1. Reminders

The reminders app is a great tool for keeping you informed and aware of things that you ought to be doing. Also, it's super easy to use. Just press the "add reminder" button and type in what you want to be reminded of...whether it's call mum, or buy bread. Don't forget to select options so that you can adjust the reminder to alert you at a specific time or at a specific place.

2. Calendar

Your calendar is another useful app for keeping track of dates and commitments. It's also easy to comprehend--it works in almost exactly the same way as a physical diary! Simply select a date on your calendar and press the plus (+) button. Then, you can type in whatever you want to add, for example, Lisa's birthday party. You can, of course, add an address to the event, and even specify the time that the event begins and ends. There's also the option to repeat, if the event occurs every week, for example.

3. Notes

Your note taking app is a powerful tool where you can keep tabs of all the little things you need to keep tabs of. When creating a new note, just headline it with whatever it will be about--for our example, we could call our note "Reminders". It is then as simple as sending a text or an email for you to type whatever it is that you want to remember or be reminded of. And if you simply press return/enter in between thoughts, you can create a whole list of things that you'd like to be reminded of at a later date.

4. Voice Memos

Voice Memos are a nifty little tool for when you want to quickly remember something that perhaps is too long to write down, or maybe you just can't be bothered typing! Simply opening the app will create a new voice memo, and all you need do is press the record button when you're ready to say something. Once you've finished recording, you can rename the file or edit it down for length, and, course, listen to it later to remind yourself of whatever it is that needs doing.
